How to Use the "Fixed Visits"

📍How to Use the "Fixed Visits" Feature#

image.png
The Fixed visits feature allows you to "lock" assigned stops to a specific vehicle. This means that when you run an automatic optimization at the plan level, the system will keep these visits on the selected vehicle and will not reassign them to other vehicles in your fleet.

How to Enable Fixed Visits Manually#

Step 1. Open the route settings
Navigate to the route settings panel by clicking on the specific vehicle/driver card in your list.
Step 2. Enable the "Fixed visits" option
Right below the Driver and Vehicle selection dropdowns, locate the Fixed visits checkbox and check it.

ℹ️ How It Works & Important Details#

Please keep the following logic in mind, especially when importing data:
1.
Visual Indicator (Blue Pin):
To easily identify locked routes, look at the vehicle card in your plan list. If the feature is active, a blue pin icon 📍 will appear right next to the visit count.
2.
Resetting the Plan or Route:
If you perform a "Reset" action on the entire plan or a specific route, the "Fixed visits" toggle will automatically turn off. You will need to manually re-enable it if necessary.
3.
Automatic Activation on File Import:
This feature integrates seamlessly with file uploads. If you import a spreadsheet where visits are already pre-assigned to specific vehicles, the system will automatically check the "Fixed visits" box for those routes upon upload.
4.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Auto-Creating Vehicles During Import:
When uploading a file with pre-assigned vehicles, the system cross-references the data:
If the vehicle name in your file exactly matches the License Plate (Plate) in your system's directory, the visits are assigned to that existing vehicle.
If there is no exact match (e.g., due to typos, extra spaces, or case differences), the system will automatically create a new vehicle in your directory using that exact text as the Plate.
Please double-check your import files carefully to avoid unintentionally cluttering your directory with duplicate or fake vehicles!
